Applications are now open for Los Angeles County nonprofit arts organizations interested in hiring college undergraduate interns through the Los Angeles County Arts Internship Program.  The deadline to apply is November 4, 2015.  Program guidelines and eligibility requirements can be found at lacountyarts.org/internships. The internship program is for ten weeks during the summer of 2016 and provides undergraduate students with paid on-the-job training and experience working in nonprofit arts management, while offering organizations an opportunity to foster and develop future arts leaders.

The Los Angeles County Arts Commission, on behalf of the County, provides grants totaling $514,000 to fund approximately 130 internships at arts organizations throughout the region.

Organizations interested in hiring a summer intern can apply to receive grants of $2,700 to $4,700, depending on budget size, to be used to pay an intern.

The program is for Los Angeles County nonprofit performing, presenting (including film and media organizations with a presenting program), arts service, municipal and literary arts organizations that are interested in mentoring an undergraduate college student for ten weeks during the summer of 2016. For detailed guidelines and eligibility requirements, visit lacountyarts.org/internships.

A number of free application workshops will be held across the County in early October. For more information on workshop dates, locations, and registration, please visit lacountyarts.org/InternWorkshopOrgs.html.
