BENEFIT — The 2009 documentary “Poto Mitan: Haitian Women, Pillars of the Global Economy” will screen March 10, 6:30 p.m., at Community Health Councils, 3731 Stocker St., Los Angeles. The documentary is narrated by Haitian author Edwidge Danticat and told through the lives of five Haitian women. “Poto Mitan” aims to give an inside perspective on globalization, Haiti’s current crisis, and the resilient women challenging the system.
