Barbara Morrison Performing Arts Center presents the free “Inspired Sound Concert Series” every Saturday at 8 p.m., at 4305 Degnan Blvd., Suite 101, in the Leimert Park district of Los Angeles.

The following artists will headline the concert series:

January 22 ~ Soul of Spain featuring Flamenco and Music of Andalusia with Manuel Gutierrez and Yuval Ron Ensemble.

In a vivid program, flamenco master dancer and singer Manuel Gutierrez and the Yuval Ron Ensemble explore the Gypsy and Jewish traditions of Andalusia, Spain.

Led by Award winning composer Yuval Ron, the Ensemble has enjoyed overwhelming community support and was chosen to be featured in the PBS “Holiday Celebration” TV specials.  Gutierrez, who began dancing flamenco at the age of four, was winning flamenco dance competitions by eight. Admirers consider him “the soul of courage” or spontaneity and frequently report that “to watch him perform is to realize that nothing expresses the masculine vigor in dance as flamenco does.”
