South LA are you ready?
This summer’s BET Experience Kick off concert is back!
This time, the concert is coming to the Crenshaw area. The free outdoor concert is set to take place Saturday, June 20 at the Baldwin Hills Mall.
Hosted by KJLH’s very own DJ Malksi with special performances by Chrisette Michele, Jordin Sparks and Deborah Cox, this pre-event allows fans and residents from the LA area to come out and get pumped up about this year’s BET Experience weekend long Fan Fest leading up to the BET Awards.
Don’t miss the chance to hear and see artists perform some of their new songs from their latest albums.
“I haven’t decided on a set list yet, I will be taking fan requests. I will [also] be singing a song from my new album which will be released in September,” said R&B and Soul singer songwriter Chrisette Michele.”
Fans can go to www.richhipster.biz to check out snippets of Chrisette Michele and her crew creating the album.
Due to limited space, the free concert will be on a first come first serve basis.

Fans should also mark their calendars for Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28 for the free BET Experience Fan Fest.
This event will be held in the Los Angeles Convention Center.
The Fan Fest is a family affair with activities suitable for all ages.
Children can enjoy Nickelodeon Worldwide Day of Play station and have an opportunity to compete in the 2015 Kid’s Choice Sports $50,000 Half-Court Shot.
Children, young adults and adults can head over to the Gaming Pavilion grab a controller and show us their skills.
While basketball lovers can watch their favorite celebrity crushes, rappers, singers and comedians go head to head in the Sprite Celebrity Basketball Game.
This year’s lineup includes rapper Snoop Dogg, singer Omarion, basketball player Tammy T-Time, Meek Mill, The Game’s very own Coby Bell and many more.
The Fan Fest will also include a Fashion and Beauty section for the fashionistas who love to see the latest trends, fashion shows and much more.
Make sure to grab a schedule/map when you walk in, to see a list of all the events happening in the LACC.
For the fans who are willing to splurge a little can purchase tickets to the Bet Experience concerts.
The concerts will take place Thursday, June 25 – Sunday, June 28 at the Staples Center, Club Nokia and LA Live.
Kevin Hart, Ne-Yo, Nicki Minaj, Tinashe, Erykah Badu, Lecare and Dej Loaf are some of the artist who will be performing just to name a few.
