In a story published in the L.A. Watts Times’ June 4 edition, titled “Narbonne High Football Star Mourned,” the newspaper reported an incorrect telephone number for those wishing to contribute or donate to the family of Dannie Farber Jr., who was shot and killed May 24 while eating with a girl at the Louisiana Fried Chicken restaurant in Compton, in an apparent unprovoked incident.

The correct number to make a donation through Wells Fargo Bank is (310) 900-2100.

The Narbonne High School Booster Club has established a memorial scholarship for Dannie, and the phone number to make a contribution to that is (310) 257-7100.
